1. Dobby or jacquard?
Dobby looms lift groups of warp ends to weave small, repeating geometric effects — diamonds, boxes, windowpanes and fine textures. Jacquard looms control individual warp ends, so they can weave large figured designs such as damask, florals, waves and checks. Both can be woven tone-on-tone for a refined hotel look or in contrast colours for decorative products.
