TEXTILE TOOLS

Fabric specification & freight tools.

Practical calculators designed to help buying teams prepare clearer textile inquiries and early-stage shipment plans.

Buyer planning tools

Useful estimates before the RFQ is finalized.

Use these tools for preliminary specification and logistics planning. Final production, packing, loading and delivery details are confirmed against the selected manufacturing route.

Fabric Roll → CBM / Container Estimator

Estimate fabric weight, shipment volume and an indicative container range from quantity, width, GSM and packing type.

If actual packed CBM is entered, it overrides the packing-density estimate.

Planning estimate only. Net fabric weight is calculated from your quantity, width and GSM. Gross weight adds a 3% packing allowance. Packed volume is either your actual CBM or an indicative packing-density estimate. Standard dry-container nominal volumes are about 33.2 CBM (20 ft), 67.8 CBM (40 ft) and 76.4 CBM (40 ft HC), but usable volume, payload and inland limits vary. Confirm the final load plan with the supplier, forwarder and carrier.

GSM ↔ Oz/Yd² Converter

Convert fabric weight between grams per square meter and ounces per square yard using the standard textile conversion.

Formula: oz/yd² = GSM ÷ 33.906. Conversion is mathematical; product suitability still depends on construction and end use.

Indicative Delivery Planner

Work backward from a target arrival date using indicative production, approval, documentation and transit allowances.

Indicative planning only. Actual mill capacity, sampling, testing, vessel/air schedules, customs and destination delivery must be confirmed for each order.
